The Coast Guard Deployable Operations Group (DOG)
DOG Provides operational commanders with rapid-deployment Deployable Specialized Force (DSF) units tailored to meet specific threats either in the U.S. or anywhere else in the world. DSF units perform high-risk, high-profile tasks such as anti-terrorism operations; intelligence-cued boardings; and threat assessments involving nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons. The Coast Guard Research & Development Center supports the DOG Command and DSF units with a variety of strategic services, including analysis of capability gaps, evaluation of emerging technologies, and promotion of interagency cooperation.
