This solid mahogany wall plaque shows the Airborne Wing PaintedOur plaques are hand made from solid mahogany wood and they are made at our own factory, they are hand carved and hand painted by our skillful workers. Fantastic addition to any military collection! This is also a great retirement gift, graduation gift or a military memento. A recessed hook enables the plaque to hang flush against any wall.
Airborne Wing Painted : Airborne forces are military units, usually light infantry, set up to be moved by aircraft and 'dropped' into battle. Thus they can be placed behind enemy lines, and have an ability to deploy almost anywhere with little warning. The formations are limited only by the number and size of their aircraft, so given enough capacity a huge force can appear ""out of nowhere"" in minutes, an action referred to as vertical envelopment.
