FBI Badge Plaque
First badge of the Bureau of Investigation was issued in 1909, after the organization have their official name. Only 219 agents carries this type of badge by the year of 1913. In 1924, redesigning the badge was considered. There are many entries, but among all the pattern selected features a miniature shield with an eagle and this was issued in May 1927. This batch of FBI badges became smaller than present-day badge with a flat facial surface. Another reconsideration of the design of the badge grew in 1933. But agents unanimously retains the style of the badge but will have the size increased and to cast it with a slight curvature. The third batch of badge release in April 194 but only used for 2 years time.
Today's FBI badge was from 1935's release when the organization was renamed the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The badges were first manufactured by the company in Massachusetts and numbered to thousand.
