US Naval Aviator Wings Plaque

This wing plaque is made from mahogany wood natural painted and has two custom Nameplates. This wing insignia is first made by Bailey, Banks, and Biddle of Philadelphia, Pa., were received by the navy in December 1917 and issued early in the following year. In Article 262, under “Naval Aviator’s Device” the title of the paragraph was changed to read “Naval Aviation Insignia” and the first sentence read: “Insignia to be worn on the left breast by qualified naval
