The Seal of the State of Texas

A recessed hook enables the plaque to hang flush against any wall. The Seal of Texas was adopted in 1845 by the Texas State Constitution from an original design of the Republic of Texas seal. It states, "There shall be a seal of the State, ... The said seal shall be a star of five points, encircled by an olive and live oak branches, and the words 'the State of Texas.'"
