Air Force Doctrine Center Crest Plaque: established Feb. 24, 1997, is the single voice for all doctrinal matters within the Air Force and to the joint community. Since its establishment, AFDC has developed 30 doctrine documents that describe key warfighting, support and organizational concepts for the employment of aerospace forces. AFDC has also been central in advocating the proper representation of aerospace power in joint exercises, wargames and simulations. In October 2006, AFDC moved beyond developing doctrine to educate the service on doctrinal issues and merged with Air University. With a propeller and wings in the middle and the six stars on top.
