This seal is the subdued version of the colored seal. Same as the colored seal, According to the Institiute of Heraldy, "The globe symbolizes the worldwide scope of the unit. The lightning bolt, with flight symbol, represents the seamless collaboration of each branch of the unit for sustained mission accomplishment across the globe. Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors. Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The unicorn denotes the parent wing, the 167th Airlift Wing."
