The Prop and Wings Plaque or propeller and wings is a military insignia used to identify various aviation-related units in the United States military. The Prop and Wings insignia is traditionally awarded to Academy cadets at the end of their grueling fourth-class (freshman) year, signifying that they have been recognized as upper class cadets. The standard insignia is chrome. However, a cadet is authorized to wear a gold Prop and Wings device if the cadet is a direct descendant of some in one or more designated classes of veterans.
Prop and Wings Insignia which has rounded wingtips is currently associated with the USAF Academy. This product is made from solid mahogany wood that is hand-carved in natural wood finished but we can also paint the insignia in silver or gold according to you own specifications.
