The United States Air Force or USAF is the most recent of the entire branch in United States Army. It is also the largest and most technologically advanced.

The main mission of USAF is to FLY, FIGHT and WIN whether in air, space and cyberspace. Air Force personnel are also bound to its core values which are: Integrity first, Service before self and Excellence in all we do.

The purposes of the Air Force as defined by the Congress are:

• To preserve the peace and security, and provide for the defense, of the United States, the territories, Commonwealths, and possessions, and any areas occupied by the United States;
• To support national policy;
• To implement national objectives;
• To overcome any nations responsible for aggressive acts that imperils the peace and security of the United States.

Trivia:  Last July 25, Gen. Douglas M. Fraser of the US Air Force is the first Air Force officer to lead the U.S. Southern Command. Gen.Douglas M.Fraser is responsible in all the military operations in the Latin America and Caribbean region.
